Not for Profit status of Polish Scouting Association ZHP in Australia Inc.

The Polish Scouting Association ('Zwiazek Harcerstwa Polskiego' : ZHP ) was formed in Poland in 1910, based on Sir Robert Baden-Powell's ideals for the Scouting movement contained within his book, "Scouting for Boys" (1907).

Instructors from the Polish Scouting Association who emigrated to Australia, first formed scout groups from youth of Polish descent in 1950. The Polish Scouting Association has conducted it's scouting activities in Australia continuously, for over 50 years.

Our aims are to develop in Australian youth of Polish descent, the following:

  • physical, intellectual, and moral strength
  • values embodying good citizenship
  • a love of the natural environment.
  • initiative, self-reliance and organisational skills
  • knowledge of Polish culture, history, and language.

Our aims are achieved using the principles of the Scouting movement via camping, hiking, and bushcraft.

The Polish Scouting Association, ZHP in Australia Inc. is a non profit, community organisation run wholly by unpaid volunteers.

We currently have numerous scout groups in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart.

Please feel free to contact us if you require any further information on our organisation.

Best regards,
